High Springs Playhouse will perform Sarah Ruhl’s “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” starting Friday.

The play will run at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays through June 30 at 23416 W. US Highway 27 in High Springs.

Directed by Sarah Hanson, the dramatic comedy features an incessantly ringing cell phone in a quiet café. A stranger at the next table has had enough. And a dead man – with a lot of loose ends. This begins the story, which is a work about how we memorialize the dead and how that remembering changes us.
