The High Springs Police Department will be participating in the National Night Out, a community building event to promote police-community partnership across the nation.
National Night Out will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1 at the High Springs Civic Center (19107 NW 240th St.)
The event was designed to bring together the community and police officers under positive circumstances. There will be free food and drinks, a balloon toss, bounce house, water slide, police shooting simulator provided by the Santa Fe College Public Safety Institute and a police K-9 demonstration.
