City of Gainesville and Alachua County government offices will be closed on Monday for Labor Day, but a series of community events will open for the holiday weekend.

One exception for government services is residential curbside collection of garbage, recycling and yard trash that will happen as normal.

Alachua County’s Hazardous Waste Collection Center and Leveda Brown Environmental Park will also be open during its regular hours on Monday. The other five Alachua County Rural Collection Centers will be closed.
