Lynx to host 2nd annual citywide reading festival in September

The Lynx Bookstore will hold its second annual citywide reading festival, Gainesville Reads, during the month of September 2025.  

The festival will center around an essay collection by National Book Award finalist and MacArthur “Genius” Grant recipient Edwidge Danticat entitled “We’re Alone.”  

The free programming begins at 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1, with an outdoor party at Depot Park (874 SE 4th St., Gainesville). Click here to RSVP.  
 
The festival culminates with a keynote talk with Danticat at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Bo Diddley Plaza (111 E. University Ave., Gainesville).
