Santa Fe College to perform “Winds Go Pop!” concert

The Santa Fe College (SF) Concert Band will perform some of America’s most popular tunes in the annual “Winds Go Pop!” concert.  

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22 in the Lyceum in Building E at the Northwest SF Campus (3000 NW 83 St.).  

“The program is full of music that the audience will recognize,” said SF Associate Professor of Music and Band Director David L. Smith in a press release. “The 13 students in the Concert Band will be playing tunes that range from popular dance grooves to some of the most memorable music from movie history.”

Highlights of the program include selections from “West Side Story,” Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin and composer John Williams.
