Santa Fe College’s Boo at the Zoo returns on Halloween

The Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo will be hosting its annual Boo at the Zoo event on Halloween.  

The event will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at SF Teaching Zoo on the Northwest Campus (3000 NW 83 Street).  

All ages are welcome to the trick-or-treating event. Themed areas throughout the zoo will be set up. Themes this year include Mario Kart, Pixie Hollow, 100 Acre Woods, A Bug’s Life, Medieval Kingdom, Jurassic Park, Pirate Treasure Hunt and Hercules.

The event will also feature live entertainment, animal encounters, games and food will be avaiable or purchase. 

Fun4GatorKids will be hosting a KidsZone in front of the zoo with community organizers who will have crafts, activities and candy.  

The zoo will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday to prepare for the event.  

Admission is one canned good or non-perishable food item per person. Canned goods will be donated to local food banks.
