Ecological consultant Brett Bartek will be the guest speaker at the Sunday Assembly Gainesville on April 20.
The event will start at 11 a.m. at the Pride Center in the Springhill Professional Center at 3850 NW 83 St., Ste. 201, in Gainesville.
Bartek will speak at this non-religious community gathering. He specializes in wetland and listed species concerns in Alachua County. Bartek’s talk, “Confiscation to Reintroduction: Rewilding Radiated Tortoises,” will explore his decade-long efforts to protect turtles and tortoises.
The event will include live music from the SA musicians, and attendees will have the opportunity to sing along. A potluck lunch will follow the talk and program.
