The Alachua County Victim Services and Rape Crisis Center will offer a free eight-week support group in Spanish for survivors of sexual violence starting on Tuesday, May 27.
The group will meet every Tuesday afternoon. All support groups are free, confidential and led by trained advocates.
“We’re excited to facilitate our first-ever Spanish support group led by the two bilingual victim advocates,” said Alachua County Victim Advocate Laura Mena in a press release. “We’ve seen the need in our community and are excited to start offering this service for this population. This is a way of building community while addressing important topics related to trauma.”
