Trick or Treat roundup for area events

Towns, churches and other organizations have prepared a bounty of trick or treating events for families to attend. If you are trying to figure out where to take your costumed kiddo, here are some of your options this week. All events are free, unless otherwise noted. 

Thursday, Oct. 26 

Magnolia Ridge Rehab Trunk or Treat

5-7:30 p.m. at Magnolia Ridge Rehabilitation Center, 6517 NW 39th Ave.  

Terrace Health and Rehab Trunk or Treat  

5-7 p.m. at Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center, 7207 SW 24th Ave.  

Food truck, petting zoo, music and games. 

Ghouls, Goblins, and Greeks  

5-8 p.m. at UF Sorority Row, located on East and West Panhellenic Dr., between 8th and 9th Ave.  

Eighteen chapters will be on Sorority Row hosting games, trick-or-treating, and family fun activities. 

Friday, Oct. 27 

Junk or Treat at The Repurpose Project  

5-8 p.m. at The Repurpose Project, 1920 NE 23rd Ave. 

Goodies and toys and knickknacks and art supplies, kids’ craft activities, music and a costume contest. The theme is Holiday Horror—any holiday, but with a scary twist. 

Trunk or Treat at the YMCA 

5-7 p.m. at North Central Florida YMCA, 5201 NW 34th Blvd. .  

University City Church of Christ Trunk or Treat  

6-8 p.m. at 4626 NW 8th Avenue 

PASSAGE Family Church Harambee Fest  

6-8 p.m. at The Oak Tree Plaza, 1414 NE 23rd Avenue.  

“Harambee Fest” is a Christian alternative to Halloween, which PASSAGE uses to celebrate diverse cultures, foods, music, games, prizes, hayrides and more. 

Hague Baptist Church Trunk or Treat  

6-8 p.m. at 6725 NW 126th Ave. 

Saturday, Oct. 28 

High Springs First United Methodist Church: Fall Flea Market and Trunk or Treat  

8 a.m.-1 p.m. at 17405 NW, Highway 441 

The Flea Market will be open 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Trunk-or-Treat will begin at 11:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. There will be free Halloween/fall themed crafts and games for children 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Cake Walk will run Noon – 1 p.m. 

Manatee Springs State Park Trunk-or-Treat  

10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Manatee Springs State Park, 11650 N.W. 115th St., Chiefland 

Costume Contest is $3 per category to enter. Categories: Infant Toddler Child Tween Teen Adult Family Free Activities include: Bark-o-Ween dog costume contest, guessing jars, field games, coloring stations, scavenger hunt and eating contests. State Park Admission ($6) is required to attend the event. 

Halloween at Haile Equestrian  

1-3 p.m. at 7680 SW 46 Blvd. 

This event features free pony rides, costumed horses, horse grooming and feeding stations trick or treating, games and more. 

Oaks Mall Monster Mash and Trick or Treat  

4-6 p.m. at Oaks Mall JCPenney Court, 6419 Newberry Rd.  

Okito America and The Oaks Mall will have a Monster Mash dance party. Costume Contests, games and prizes will be available. 

Newberry Main Street Halloween Event  

4-7 p.m. on Main St. in Newberry 

Newberry Main Street Organization presents the 2nd Annual Scarecrow Road Trick or Treat, Halloween costume contest and pumpkin carving contest. 

Hawthorne Trunk or Treat  

5-7 p.m. at Hawthorne Recreation Park, 6000 SE 205th St.  

Hollow Oaks Corn Maze Trick or Treat  

5-8 p.m. at 18005 NW 190th Avenue,  

Paid admission ($12-15) includes trick or treating and all other activities. 

Alachua Trick or Treat on Main Street  

6 p.m. at Main St. in Alachua  

Archer Recreation and Public Works: Trunk or Treat  

6-8 p.m. at Wilson Robinson Park, 13975 SW 174th St. 

Celebration Pointe Trick or Treating  

6 p.m. at Celebration Pointe, 3528 SW 45 St.  

Trick or treating, plus performances by Danscompany of Gainesville. 

High Springs Church of Christ Fall Festival and Trunk-Or-Treat  

6-8 p.m. at High Springs Church of Christ, 520 NE Santa Fe Blvd.  

Sunday, Oct. 29 

Trinity UMC Fall Fest Trunk n Treat  

3:30-5:30 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 4000 NW 53rd Ave.  

Destiny Community Church Fall Family Fest 

4-7 p.m. at Destiny Community Church, 20820 W. Newberry Rd,   

There will be carnival games, a petting zoo, bounce houses, train rides and a hayride. 

Grace at Fort Clarke Trunk or Treat Fest  

5-7 p.m. at Grace at Fort Clarke UMC, 9325 W Newberry Rd.  

The Family Church Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat  

5-7 p.m. at 2022 SW 122nd St.  

Crosspoint Church of God Trunk or Treat  

5-7:30 p.m. at 1520 NW 34th St.  

CampusView Church Trunk or Treat  

6-8:30 p.m. at CampusView Church, 2720 SW 2nd Ave.  

Tuesday, Oct. 31 

Charter Senior Living Halloween Trunk or Treat  

2-5 p.m. at 1001 SW 62nd Ave. 

Halloween treats, face painting and craft stations. 

Annual Boo at the Zoo at Santa Fe Teaching Zoo  

3-7:30 p.m. at Santa Fe College Fine Arts, 3000 NW 83rd St.  

All ages welcome to join in costume to trick or treat! Admission to the event is one canned good or non-perishable food item per person. Cans collected help Saints Food Share @ Santa Fe College and Catholic Charities, which feed families in need from our community. Please refrain from bringing canned goods in plastic bags. 

Family Promise Trunk or Treat  

5-7 p.m. at 229 SW 5th St. 

Trick or Treat at Homestead Park  

6-9 p.m. at Homestead Park, 1050 NE 6th Blvd., Williston 

Kimber Hollow Trick or Treat  

6-11 p.m. at 2705 NW 50th Pl. 

There are no jump scares, no gorey effects. Everyone is welcome to trick or treat.  

Alive Church’s Light the Night  

6-9 p.m. at Alive Church, 5805 NW 37th St.  

Candy, trunk or treat, bounce houses, food trucks, games, giveaways and photobooths. 

Saint Matthew Baptist Church’s Trunk or Treat  

6 p.m.-10 a.m. at Saint Matthew Baptist Church, 15712 Northwest 140th St., Alachua  

Trick or Treat at Tioga Town Center  

6-8 p.m. at Tioga Town Center, 13085 SW 1 Ln.
