UF College of Public Health and Health Professions students will host CarFit on Friday, a free educational program that will offer free 12-point vehicle check to older drivers.

The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Senior Recreation Center (5701 N.W. 34th St., Gainesville). All ages are welcome.

Trained students will go through a 12-point checklist with drivers on their vehicles and make recommended adjustments, which include adequate space from the steering wheel, properly adjusting head restraints and appropriate seatbelt use.
