A freeway collision north of Lake City between a pickup truck and a semi truck resulted in one fatality and one injury Tuesday morning.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol account of the incident, around 10:15 a.m. a Ford pickup truck towing a trailer was northbound on the I-75 entrance ramp traveling westbound to Interstate 10. The pickup’s passenger, a 47-year-old female from Labelle, Fla., was airlifted to a nearby hospital and was in serious condition.
FHP reported no injuries to the semi truck driver, a 63-year-old male from Yulee, Fla.
FHP is still investigating the accident.
