An 18-year-old Alachua man died Sunday evening when a pickup truck pulling a trailer collided with the teen’s motorcycle.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 45-year-old Lake Butler man was driving a pickup with a trailer north on County Road 237 (NW 75th Street) at 8:36 p.m. when he collided with the Alachua teen driving a motorcycle west on W. State Road 235.

The Alachua teen was killed and the Lake Butler man sustained minor injuries, according to emergency responders.
