ASO investigating string of overnight car burglaries

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ASO) forensic’s team is currently investigating several car burglaries that happened last night.

Law enforcement presence this morning is in the Country Way neighborhood located three blocks east of Newberry Elementary School in Newberry.

According to reports, several vehicles were burglarized overnight and the sheriff’s office has deputies and forensics units in the area taking reports and collecting evidence.

“We encourage anyone that believes that they are a victim, have video or audio footage, or have any information regarding these crimes please call 352-955-1818” the ASO stated.
