Archer Elementary School held bus-riding students until deputies knew what was going on, Forgey said, but “car-riding students were dismissed as usual.”

Deputies located one party walking away and found a concealed firearm in his backpack. At this time he is being charged with aggravated assault and carrying a concealed firearm.

Forgey added that the investigation is still ongoing as deputies continue to establish what occurred.
