The main break occurred on 165 Palm Drive at about 9:15 a.m. this morning, according to a statement from deputy town clerk Wendy Maragh.

The boil water notice affects all Bronson residents who get water from the town, which is about 600 residences.

The leak is currently being repaired, according to Maragh, but the boil water notice will not be lifted until bacteriological samples confirm it is safe to drink—likely in one to two days. The notice said some sections of the town may get clearance before others.

“We apologize for any inconveniences,” Maragh said.
