
A sedan traveling east on U.S. Highway 90 hit and killed a bicyclist on Monday evening.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report, a small black sedan driven by a 21-year-old Lake City female was eastbound along U.S. Highway 90 just east of County Road 245 when she hit a 39-year-old Lake City male riding a bicycle around 6:50 p.m.
The front of the sedan impacted the bicyclist within the roadway. The sedan then stopped on the right shoulder of the roadway. FHP reported the bicyclist was not wearing a helmet.
Century Ambulance Service first responders pronounced the bicyclist deceased at the scene.
