A sedan hit and killed a man riding a bicycle on NE State Road 26 in Alachua County on Wednesday night.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the cyclist was riding westbound on NE SR 26 at 9:37 p.m. when he was hit by a 33-year-old Gainesville man driving a sedan who was westbound on NE SR 26.
Emergency responders pronounced the cyclist dead on scene. At the time of the release, the cyclist’s age and city where he lived were not reported.
Name of cyclist?
The Florida Highway Patrol does not release names on its reports.
