In a public statement the sheriff’s office said its detectives are looking for Tony Brannon Sr., who was reported missing Monday. He was last heard from on Feb. 25, and the sheriff’s office believes he may be in the company of an unnamed person driving a white Ford Ranger truck.

“Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Mr. Brannon is asked to contact Detective Cason or Detective Elliott at 386-758-1095,” the sheriff’s office said. “You may also contact Columbia County Dispatch at 386-719-2005.”

The sheriff’s office posted the notice on Facebook and asked people to share it. The post swiftly drew well-wishes, prayers, and at least one tip from a person who said she may have seen Brannon.
