Two Miramar men died Friday night when the tractor-trailer they were in left Interstate 75 near the White Springs exit and struck several trees in north Columbia County.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 50-year-old Miramar man was driving north on I-75 near mile marker 438 at 10:10 p.m. when the tractor-trailer exited the road toward the right, entered the east grass shoulder and struck several trees, causing the cab to overturn onto its right side while the trailer remained upright.

Columbia County Fire Rescue responders pronounced the driver and a 57-year-old Miramar male passenger deceased on scene.
