Early Voting provides a convenient alternative to traditional Election Day voting.

Early Voting begins no later than 10 days before the election, and may begin up to 15 days before the election that contains state or federal races. The Supervisor of Elections will offer early voting in the main or branch office of the Supervisor. The Supervisor may also designate any city hall, permanent public library facility, fairground, civic center, courthouse, county commission building, stadium, convention center, government-owned community senior center, or government-owned community center as an early voting site; however, if so designated, the site must be geographically located so as to provide all voters in the county an equal opportunity to cast a ballot, insofar as is practicable. (Please note, municipalities have sole authority to offer early voting and select sites for their elections). In addition, a supervisor may designate one early voting site per election in an area of the county that does not have any of the eligible early voting locations. Such additional early voting site must be geographically located so as to provide all voters in that area with an equal opportunity to cast a ballot, insofar as is practicable.

Early Voting shall be provided for no less than 8 hours and no more than 12 hours per day at each site during the period. The Supervisor of Elections will designate the early voting sites 30 days prior to an election. A voter may vote at any of the early voting sites.

You are required to present acceptable picture and signature identification before voting. If you do not present proper identification, you will be required to vote a provisional ballot. A Florida Driver’s License, a Florida Identification Card, United States passport, debit or credit card, military or student ID, retirement center or neighborhood association ID, or public assistance ID will be accepted by election officials. You may use two forms of identification to meet this requirement.

Florida Law requires voters to present current and valid picture and signature identification as prescribe by law. If the elector fails to furnish the required identification, the elector shall be allowed to vote a provisional ballot. FS 101.043.
