Fernandina Beach pockets narrow victory over Alachua Santa Fe 31-28

Early action on the scoreboard pushed Fernandina Beach to the front, and it stayed there to fend off Alachua Santa Fe 31-28 in Florida high school football action on October 7.

Fernandina Beach withstood Alachua Santa Fe’s last-gasp comeback in the final period to eventually earn the win.

The Pirates broke in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 21-14 lead over the Raiders.

Both offenses were muted in unproductive first and second quarters, resulting in a 0-0 halftime score.
