Trailer brakes reportedly started a fire that consumed a tractor-trailer on US 301 Saturday afternoon.
According to an Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) release, units from ACFR, the Melrose Fire Department and Windsor Fire Department responded at 3:02 p.m. to a tractor-trailer that caught fire.
When crews arrived, they found the tractor-trailer 75% involved with the blaze.
It took several hours for the crews to contain, and then clean up, the fire due to the cargo on board.
