Multiple fire units responded to a single-story house fire in Hawthorne on Tuesday evening.
According to an Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) release, units from ACFR, Windsor Fire Department, Melrose Fire Department and Cross Creek Fire Department responded around 6:40 p.m. to a house fire in Hawthorne.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a single-story residence with heavy fire showing from the roof. Units used multiple hose lines to control the blaze, which also caught the adjacent grass on fire.
No one was in the house when the fire broke out and no injuries were reported.
The Alachua County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
