Firefighters extinguished an apartment fire that erupted Tuesday night at the Camelot Apartments in Gainesville.

According to a Gainesville Fire Rescue (GFR) release, fire crews were dispatched at 10:42 to 3425 SW 2nd Ave.

Upon arrival, units confirmed a working fire in one apartment. The blaze was fully extinguished by 11:04 p.m. and no injuries were reported.

“Our crews moved fast and worked efficiently to keep the fire contained to one unit,” said GFR Incident Commander Nick Gonzalez in the release. “Their quick actions made a big difference in protecting the rest of the complex and keeping everyone safe.”
