
The Florida Department of Health reported 8,935 new cases to the Florida COVID-19 Dashboard, bringing the total positive test count to 232,718 cases as of the July 8th report.
The FDOH also reported 48,586 new tests from Wednesday. The positive rate was 18.39% of the total, according to the report.

Statewide hospitalizations are at 17,167 an increase of 409. The state is not reporting a total number of “recovered” COVID-19 patients, or those currently hospitalized.
4,009 people have died from the virus in Florida, an increase of 120 over the day before.

Archer 29 – up 1 from yesterday.
Hawthorne 18 – no change from yesterday.
High Springs 32 – no change from yesterday.

Waldo 8 – no change from yesterday.
