Florida reports 10,181 new positive cases of COVID-19; now over 300,000 total

The Florida Department of Health reported 10,181 new cases to the Florida COVID-19 Dashboard, bringing the total positive test count to 301,810 cases as of the July 14th report. It is the fifth day out of the last six that 10,000 or more cases were reported.

The FDOH also reported 80,389 new tests from Tuesday. The positive rate was 13.59% of the total, according to the report.

Statewide hospitalizations­­­ are at 19,334 an increase of 453. The state is now releasing numbers on currently hospitalized patients, and as of 10:15 a.m. today, 8,305 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 as their primary diagnosis statewide.

4,521 people have died from the virus in Florida, an increase of 112 over the day before. This is the second straight day that over 100 deaths were reported, following the highest single-day of deaths (132) reported by the DOH since the pandemic began on Tuesday.
