The city of Gainesville is activating its Cold Night Shelter Program (CNS) as temperatures are projected to drop below 45 degrees Fahrenheit Friday through Monday nights, Nov. 29 to Dec. 2.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the forecast calls for temperatures to dip to 38 degrees Friday night, 38 degrees on Saturday night, 39 on Saturday night, 38 on Sunday night and 34 degrees on Monday night.
The CNS Program goes into effect when overnight low temperatures dip below 45 degrees.

GRACE primarily serves individual adults while the St. Francis House provides temporary shelter appropriate for families, women and children.
