Gainesville Fire Rescue responded with ACFR units to a residential building fire today at 11:09 AM. Shortly after being dispatched, crews arrived on scene to find a working fire in a single family home within the Hickory Forrest subdivision located off of SW Archer Road. An aggressive fire attack by multiple companies quickly brought the fire under control and search crews confirmed the building was unoccupied. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
