Gainesville man, 63, dies in single-vehicle crash on State Road 121

A 63-year-old Gainesville man died on Saturday night when his sedan left State Road 121, collided with a tree line, overturned and he was ejected from the vehicle in southwest Alachua County.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the man was driving north in the northbound lane of SR 121 and was approaching SW Wacahoota Road at 8:18 p.m. when his sedan exited the road. The vehicle collided with a tree line, overturned and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.

Emergency responders pronounced the man dead on scene.
