An 81-year-old Gainesville man died in a pasture off W. Newberry Road after being struck by truck driven by an 85-year-old Newberry man.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, at approximately 3:21 p.m. on Saturday, a white Ford pickup was backing up in a cattle field in Newberry when it struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by Fire Rescue.
FHP is still investigating the crash.
