A 31-year-old Gainesville man died Thursday night when he collided with a car that turned in front of his motorcycle on SW 75th Street.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 26-year-old Gainesville man was driving a sedan southbound on SW 75th Street (Tower Road) at 11:21 p.m. and was approaching SW 8th Avenue in the left turn lane. The motorcyclist was driving north on SW 75th Street and approaching SW 8th Avenue when the car turned in front of the motorcycle, leading to the collision.

Emergency responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead on scene.
