Gainesville police are investigating an aggravated battery-homicide attempt regarding an unconscious male with severe trauma to the head found on the road in North Lincoln Heights.
According to a Gainesville Police Department (GPD) release, Alachua County Fire Rescue and GPD officers were dispatched to the 200 block of SE 14th Street at 8:55 p.m. on Monday regarding an unconscious male in the roadway.
The victim sustained severe trauma to the head and emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where he is in critical condition.
