Gainesville police are seeking the public’s help in locating a 60-year-old man from Old Town, who was discharged from UF Health Shands Hospital on Friday, Oct. 3, and has not returned home or contacted his family.

According to a Gainesville Police Department (GPD) post on social media, Shawn Way has no phone or ID with him and was last seen on Saturday afternoon. Way has medical issues that require medication, and it is unknown if he has his medication with him.

Way is 6-foot-1 and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing Hey Dude style shoes, dark shorts and a white T-shirt. He was last seen in the 2000 block of SW 16th Avenue in Gainesville around 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4.
