Gainesville Telephone Town Hall focusing on the GNVCares initiative

The City of Gainesville will host its next telephone town hall at 7:15 p.m. tonight, April 29. Gainesville Mayor Lauren Poe will be joined by City Manager Lee Feldman and assistant city managers Deborah Bowie, Dan Hoffman and Fred Murry to answer questions about GNVCares, a new $3.18M initiative to expand local relief and recovery efforts. GNVCares is designed to provide direct assistance to city residents and to small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications, deadlines and qualifying criteria will be posted at GNVcares.org in the coming days.

Neighbors with landlines are encouraged to register in advance through this link to receive a call back at the time of the event. Registration for a call back closes two hours before the 7:15 p.m. start time. Callers also can dial in at 1-888-410-3427 to ask questions, share comments or simply listen in once the event begins.
