A 35-year-old Gainesville woman was killed and five other people were seriously injured on Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle collision on SE 15th Street near Boulware Springs Park in Gainesville.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the Gainesville woman was driving a sedan east, approaching SE 15th Street, and was exiting Boulware Springs Park. An 18-year-old Gainesville man, driving a sedan south on SE 15th Street, collided with the Gainesville woman’s car as she was attempting to turn left onto SE 15th Street.
Emergency responders pronounced the Gainesville woman dead on scene.
The Gainesville man driving the second vehicle and his four passengers – two Gainesville women and two Gainesville men (ages not disclosed) – all sustained serious injuries.
