The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) is searching for a suspected arsonist leaving the SkyFrog Tree Service and Landscaping building on Aug. 23.
The SkyFrog office started ablaze at 9:49 Aug. 23 and Gainesville Fire Rescue (GFR) responded to extinguish the fire. After initially thinking it was caused by an electrical issue, GFR reinvestigated and a video was produced showing an individual exiting the building.
GPD is asking anyone with information related to the arson, or who can assist in identifying the person in the video, to contact GPD detective Ronald Pinkston at 352-393-7657 or pinkstonra@cityofgainesville.org.
SkyFrog is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved.
