Over one-third of American voters are confident that the Republican party will correctly count the votes in the upcoming GOP primary elections and caucuses, according to an Associated Press-NORC poll released Wednesday.

More than 40% of the poll respondents were confident that the Democratic party would accurately count its votes. Meanwhile, more than 70% of Democrats, and about 30% of Republicans, believe that their primary votes will be counted correctly.

The poll also found that about one-quarter of respondents have little or no confidence in either party’s ability to fairly select a presidential nominee. NORC research group, founded in 1941 as the National Research Center, is headquartered at the University of Chicago.

What did the poll find about voter’s opinions of President Joe Biden? Biden’s approval rating has risen to 41%—up only slightly from a poll conducted in November. At the same time, 65% of respondents disapprove of how he is handling the economy. Biden has touted his economic policies, known as “Bidenomics,” as a focal point of his reelection campaign.
