A 24-year-old Hampton man was killed Wednesday morning when he drove his sedan into the rear of a tractor-trailer pulling onto SW County Road 227 south of Starke.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 42-year-old St. Augustine man was turning right out of a private logging road driveway onto SW CR 227 west of SW 70th Avenue at 5:02 a.m. in Bradford County. The Hampton man was traveling eastbound on SW CR 227 and collided with the rear of the trailer.
The Hampton man was killed as a result of the collision.
