A 38-year-old Keystone Heights man died when he was hit by a jeep while walking on the Camp Blanding military base in Clay County on Friday morning.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 28-year-old Green Cove Springs man was driving a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound on Avenue B at 6:56 a.m. when he struck the Keystone Heights pedestrian walking eastbound on Avenue B.
The driver stopped the vehicle after hitting the pedestrian.
