Keystone Heights man dies in crash near Lake Butler

A 32-year-old Keystone Heights man died early Friday morning when his pickup left State Road 121 and collided with a culvert and tree south of Lake Butler.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the man was driving his pickup south on SR 121 near SW 79th Way at 2 a.m. when it exited the roadway to the left and entered the east shoulder, where the pickup collided with a culvert and a tree.

Emergency responders pronounced the man dead on scene. He was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt.
