A sigh of relief filled the air in Lake City Columbia’s locker room after Friday’s 27-23 win against Orange Park Oakleaf in a Florida high school football matchup.
There was no room for doubt as Lake City Columbia added to its advantage with a 15-3 margin in the closing period.
The Knights had a 20-12 edge on the Tigers at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
The Knights came from behind to grab the advantage 13-12 at intermission over the Tigers.
Orange Park Oakleaf showed it was ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out a 7-6 advantage over Lake City Columbia as the first quarter ended.
