A 53-year-old Lake City man died Saturday night when his motorcycle struck the back of an ATV on County Road 18 west of Worthington Springs in Union County.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the Lake City man and a 17-year-old Lake Butler man driving an ATV were both traveling westbound on CR 18 at 11:59 p.m. near SW 78th Place when the motorcycle struck the rear of the ATV. Both vehicles came to a rest on the road.
Emergency responders pronounced the Lake City man dead on scene and the Lake Butler man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
