Police arrested a Lake City man allegedly responsible for three Wednesday burglaries near US Highway 90.

According to a Lake City Police Department (LCPD) release, officers arrested Daniel Boone, 45, and charged him with burglary, trespassing, and property damage at Tire Mart, Roundtree Moore Ford and Zaxby’s.

The charges stem from an initial call at 5:50 a.m. where LCPD officers responded to a Tire Mart about a burglary. An employee told officers someone had thrown a metal object through the window. A white male suspect was spotted in the video surveillance wearing pants and no shirt. He entered the business through the window and rummaged through various items and a company vehicle.

Officers then responded to a call of a burglary at Zaxby’s. An employee told officers that when they arrived to open the restaurant, the north entry door was open. Officers entered the building and located the suspect eating chicken. Boone matched the description of the suspect at Tire Mart.

According to the release, officers also responded to Rountree Moore Ford for a report of a burglary that had already occurred. An employee said several vehicles had been searched through.
