One person of interest remains at large while a second is in custody following a Tuesday night shooting in Williston’s Lincoln Heights.

The Levy County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kadaryl Cannady, who was shot in the arm the evening of the incident. Cannady, 22, was charged with armed robbery and is being held on $250,000 bond.

“It was a drug deal gone bad,” LCSO undersheriff Brett Beauchamp said in a phone interview.

The incident occurred Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at NE 210 Court, where multiple shots were fired. Cannady was shot and reportedly fled into a nearby shed.

“We just followed the blood trail from the scene and got help from witnesses,” Beauchamp said.

Beauchamp said deputies are still searching for the other suspect, 22-year-old Gerald Coleman. He is considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 911 or the LSCO at 352-486-5111.
