The Levy County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is searching for a suspect who recently cut off his ankle monitor device.
LCSO reported Monday morning that Steven D. Stacy, 38, was last seen in the area of 16490 NE 55 St. northwest of Williston off County Road 335-A. Stacy was spotted running through a yard near this address.
“He cut off his ankle monitor device, which is a violation of his probation,” said LCSO spokesperson Lt. Scott Tummond.
Tummond said Stacy was arrested for obstruction in interference with an active investigation and was put on probation.
Stacy was wearing a black shirt and black pants. He is 6-feet tall and weighs 175 pounds.
If anyone sees Stacy, they are asked to call 911. He is not reported to be armed, but LCSO asks that you do not approach him if seen.
