The Levy County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) filed additional charges on Wednesday against Wyatt Morgan Arnow, 26, after a chase on foot and in a stolen vehicle that led to his arrest on Dec. 19.

Arnow was wanted for multiple violent felony charges in Levy, Alachua and Citrus counties when deputies learned he was in Morriston. According to a sheriff’s office release, deputies planned to arrest him at the location and, because of past encounters with Arnow, assumed he would resist.

The sheriff’s office blocked all routes to the address and waited. When Arnow left in a car, he was intercepted by law enforcement. Arnow fled with deputies in pursuit, and after turning onto a dead end road, he ran on foot.

While running on a nearby property, Arnow found a Polaris SxS with the key and used the vehicle to continue his escape. But the escape was again blocked by deputies. The release notes that Arnow used the Polaris to ram a police vehicle before continuing on foot, but deputies used a Taser to bring him down and apprehend him.

In addition to the previous charges, LCSO added charges of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement, grand theft of a motor vehicle and other charges. His bond has been set for $835,000 for those charges.
