Live Oak man dies in head-on collision in Suwannee County

A 22-year-old Live Oak man died early Saturday morning and two other people were injured when two vehicles collided head-on along County Road 49 in Suwannee County.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a sedan, driven by the 22-year-old Live Oak man, and an SUV, driven by a 42-year-old Live Oak man, collided head-on at 1:57 a.m. on CR 49 and Bulb Farm Road southeast of Live Oak.

Emergency responders pronounced the 22-year-old Live Oak man dead on scene.

The 42-year-old SUV driver is in serious condition and a 22-year-old Live Oak man who was a passenger in the sedan sustained minor injuries.
