Live Oak teen killed in single-vehicle accident in Suwannee County

A 19-year-old Live Oak man died Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on County Road 136 north of Dowling Park in Suwannee County.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the teenager was driving a sedan north on CR 136 near 88th Street north of Dowling Park at 5:25 a.m. when he approached a 90-degree curve in the roadway. The sedan failed to turn and left the paved roadway and entered a wooded area where it collided with a tree.

Emergency responders pronounced the man dead on scene. He was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt.
