Two tractor trailers and a pickup were involved in an I-75 collision that injured six people on Wednesday evening.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report, the accident occurred at 7:25 p.m. when a Tampa male driving a tractor trailer southbound near the 404 exit failed to notice another tractor trailer. The first truck hit the second one—driven by a 30-year-old Katy, Texas, male—from behind in the left rear.

The Tampa driver abruptly steered to his left, causing his tractor trailer to overturn onto its left side and striking the roof and landing on a Chevrolet pickup being driven by a 37-year-old Arcadia male traveling south on the inside lane. The tractor trailer came to a final rest on its left side with its trailer on the roof of the pickup, which stopped on the grass shoulder near the center guard rail.

The Tampa driver received minor injuries and five people in the pickup also received minor injuries. The pickup passengers—all from Arcadia—included a 32-year-old male, a 20-year-old male, a 16-year-old male and a 4-year-old male.

Will this murder ever stop on Interstate 75? Law enforcement must do what they are paid to do – enforce speed limits.
