The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle crash today at approximately 4:05 pm near the intersection of SW County Road 346 and SW State Road 121 in Alachua County.
According to the FHP’s crash report, a box truck, driven by a 52-year old male resident of Bronson, attempted to make a left turn onto SW County Road 346 into the oncoming path of a 4-door sedan, driven by a 28-year old female resident of Bronson. The sedan struck the front of the truck, and the impact of the crash sent it off the roadway.
According to the FHP report, the driver of the truck sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries. However the injuries sustained by the driver of the sedan were fatal.
The FHP did not release the names of the drivers in the incident.
